About Me
My name is Doug Hinebaugh, but you can call me Dougie. I’m a Photographer from Toledo, Ohio driven by a desire to create beautiful images regardless of the subject. While my focus is on people and places, it all started with my love of exotic automobiles and the access I suddenly had to them while living in Chicago and Houston. The years I spent on film photography and taking high school courses taught me the basics, and being around such amazing cars while living in two of the largest cities in North America reignited a love of photography once lost in me. From there, I’ve spent years trying to get to Carnegie Hall the only way I know how: Practice.
Since returning to Toledo after 12 years living away in 3 other cities, I’ve been on a mission to use the lessons I’ve learned to shape a new life for myself. While I’ve worked consistently in Printing for most of the last 25 years, the majority of those being a Large Offset Pressman, it’s been the experiences along the way of directly dealing with clients that have shaped my desire to put on focus on people. My entire career has been devoted to using specialized machines to bring our customers’ work to life. I’ve always excelled at doing just that and I am fully expecting that the same skill set that makes me successful in every Print Shop I walk into these days will serve my own Photography clients just as well.
I have experienced a rebirth in the last few years, conquered my personal demons, and found a passion again not only in doing something I love, but doing something that can be shared. I want to be the living personification of when preparation meets opportunity. Because when you’ve been to the bottom like I have, then you know that UP is the only place left to look. The sky is the limit for your vision when you work with me, because that’s always what I’m shooting for.

Your special event means everything to you. Let me capture your moments from my unique perspective and help you to display and immortalize the soul of your celebration. Whether it’s a family reunion BBQ, a Bat Mitzvah, or a corporate golf outing, my ability to be in the right spot at the right time will ensure that the must-see highlights of your event won’t be missed.
Portrait Photography
Portraits are more to me than a studio and perfect lighting conditions. If you dig my style already, hopefully you’ll like the different look I can bring to what doesn’t have to be a standard studio portrait. With my eye and the right equipment, I can make your family, corporate, or individual portrait shots really stand out from the crowd.
Event Management
One thing that comes from working with me is access to the network I’ve built over 3 decades in Toledo. Whether it’s a known location owned and operated by close friends and partners or something new that you have a concept for but need some help making a reality, let me leverage what I have learned over my years here to help make your celebration a dream come true. Be it planning, coordinating with your team, or putting you in touch with the perfect people, we can do this.
Color Management
I love color and I use it very well. With my background as a Printing Pressman for almost a quarter of a century, faithful color reproduction has been my life’s work. While my personal photo editing style is my own, I can and will use my professional skills to accurately represent your visual imagery with true color reproduction so that the branding you’ve worked so hard to create is depicted properly in photographic work.
Retouching
Get the most out of your portrait and event photos with professional retouching done by yours truly. Retouching includes skin, teeth, and blemish removal along with advanced enhancements such as object removal and image stitching. Have albums of photos you need help cleaning up and enhancing for archival? My batch editing process with my own custom presets will bring an entire album into the ballpark, and with my attention to detail each photo itself will be checked and brought home to match the style and theme of the existing work.
Location Scouting
I’m asked every day by someone about the exact location I took a certain photo at or where I might suggest is a good spot for a specific photographic purpose. Due to the way I fully explore the areas I reside and shoot in, I almost always have an answer to those questions. When I don’t, I’ll gladly go find one for you. Whether I’m taking your photos or it’s your other favorite photographer, I know Toledo and the surrounding areas and I can help you find that perfect location for your shoot.
For over 25 years, my printing background gave me the detailed eye it takes to capture a new perspective in visited places. Even looking through a lens, I think I’ll always see the corresponding Pantone color in my head.
